Features of the Winter ESL Program

English as a Foreign Language (EFL) also known as English as a Secondary Language (ESL), offers three semesters that interested students can enroll in based on their needs and constraints. These courses are targeted at students, professionals, and teachers who are interested in taking up English teaching as a profession. The three semesters offered at ESL are the summer semester, the spring semester, and the winter ESL program . The aim of ESL is to enable students to acclimatize and imbibe new cultures while learning English. It is a holistic approach to training.

Some benefits of taking up courses with ESL are that they provide accommodation with local families, meals, and health insurance. They also provide study materials, guided training, public transportation, and are taken through various winter sports and activities. The winter semester is full of fun activities, planned after classes every day, and for weekends. The activities include ice-skating, cross country skiing, and bobsleigh rides. Besides this students are taken to visit all the local tourist locations.

An winter ESL program is planned according to age groups and requirements. Students between twelve and nineteen are a different program, students who aspire to take competitive exams like TOEFL in another. Aspiring teachers form a batch and Professionals who need to learn English for career advancement attend a different program. ESL programs are based on the concept of ‘fun learning’ and hence are widely popular.
